This place is really fun with tons of props to explore. Every time we turned our head there was something we didn't see before. The food (diner food) was great. I love chicken stripe and these were on point. We had a couple drinks that were made fabulously. Fun place to visit and eat. We will be returning or shall I say "I'll be back".
This place brought back my childhood memories. What a blast from the past. It was so rad! We had the Risky business burger and tetris tots with the captain crunch milk shake. Everything was fantastic. Wish we had this in Texas. Everything was so on point and we even got to take an old skool picture in the picture booth.
This restaurant is cool, however my son was a bit disappointed that the only reference to Ghostbusters was the car outside. The food was good, not a very large selection for anyone with food allergies though. I would have looked past this if the customer service was better, it would have been nice for the waitress to offer us condiments and check up on us. I enjoyed the experience but probably won't be back.
Fun little themed spot. Staff was friendly and the food was really good! Loved the tetris tater tots. The decor is a little gimmicky, but I think it works for the era. The Nintendo was really cool on the bar side!
Definitely brought me back to the 80's. They had a lot of stuff that I had even forgotten about. Staff was very friendly and food was quick. Nothing fancy on the menu but it was well made. Will return on our next trip!
If you remember the 1980's -- or just wish you did -- YOU WILL LOVE IT HERE. Amazing music. Delicious food. Wonderful staff. They really understood the assignment here! A cute little place near UNLV. Well worth a trip. If 2025 has you down [or -- insert current year] indulge in some healthy escapism at BACK TO THE 80'S!
Back to the 80s Cafe & More – Las Vegas, NV Rating: 11/10 (would sell my DeLorean for this place)I walked in expecting a gimmick. I left questioning whether I had accidentally time-traveled to the greatest decade known to man and also somehow gained 47 new spirit animals that all look like horror-movie clowns.Let’s start with the vibe: Imagine if Hot Topic, Spirit Halloween, and your weird uncle’s basement had a three-way love child and that child opened a bar. There are life-size animatronic killers just chilling on the stage like they’re waiting for their Uber. Chucky is there. Beetlejuice is there. Pennywise is holding what appears to be a boxing glove and giving me the “come at me bro” eyes. I have never felt so simultaneously threatened and emotionally supported by décor in my life. The food? Bro. BRO.The “Future Club Sandwich” – This thing is so thicc it needs its own zip code. We’re talking grilled chicken the size of a 1987 cell phone, stacked so high I had to unhinge my jaw like a snake just to attempt a bite. The fries are perfectly crispy and arranged like they’re trying to spell “RAD” on the plate. 10/10, would dislocate jaw again. Fried Chicken Sandwich – This bad boy showed up looking like it bench-presses Buicks. The chicken is comically large, hanging off the bun like it’s trying to escape. Crispy? Yes. Juicy? Dangerously. I took one bite and immediately heard “Eye of the Tiger” playing in my head. I’m pretty sure this sandwich could beat me in an arm-wrestling match. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Milkshake – They took a perfectly good milkshake and committed several delicious felonies on it. Whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, and then — for reasons science cannot explain — they glued an entire handful of Reese’s Pieces to the top like edible rhinestones. It’s less of a beverage and more of a religious experience that happens to be served in a plastic cup. I finished it and achieved enlightenment. Then I achieved a nap. Price for all this chaos? $39.99. That’s less than forty American dollars to have horror clowns stare into your soul while you inhale the best chicken sandwich of your natural life and drink a milkshake that probably has its own gravitational field.Verdict: If you leave Las Vegas without eating here, the ghost of 1987 will haunt your VHS collection and replace all your tapes with blank recordings of static and distant screaming.Back to the 80s Cafe isn’t just a restaurant. It’s a lifestyle. It’s a cry for help. It’s perfection.Go. Eat. Fear for your life in the best way possible. Tell Pennywise I said hi.
